#6 We made several jumps that day and this is after the last one . Early afternoon and it's already beginning to get dark north of the Polar Circle, snow is starting to drift over the lake as the wind is picking up. This is a series I've come to work on while trying to digitize my old film pictures from way back. What I wanted to create was the kind of WWII atmosphere you can see in documentaries about Operation Market Garden for example. The process is pretty simple. I take a picture of the negative and convert it in Capture One Pro 10. In this case I've chosen a B&W style and added some vintage pattern on top of that. I did my service in the Swedish Special Forces, and this series is from an exercise we had in the very north of Sweden. Usually we were not permitted to bring cameras along, but I managed to bring my small pocket camera and hid it in my sleeve, as I thought the opportunity to try and get pictures of this kind of stuff doesn't happen very often. As expected, my platoon commander caught me in the plane as I stood there, hooked up and second in line to jump, taking pictures.. But lucky me, it was too late to let me hook off as we just reached the drop zone and the green light came on..
