This grandma was the resident in a small village in the hillside of the Mount Merapi, Jogja, Central Java, Indonesia. Her grand-grand parents had been living in the village for many decades. During the eruption recently, the government evacuated them to the foothills, 6km away from where they lived. Post eruption, the area is still forbidden until now to occupy. But this is safe to come. This grandma, and other residents still come to the place to collect woods from the dead burned trees for cooking. They do this at least once in 2 or 3 days. The more they got the rare they have to comeback. In their age, they have limitation. But if you see the load on her back, you might not want to do this for walking down for 6km like her. But this her life.
